Call For Participants For An Upcoming Community Service Initiative Program Training

This is to inform our elite team of nurses of the upcoming community service initiative service program in partnership with NELA slated for 6th and 7th November 2015.
The  community  service  initiative  is  a  bold  idea  to  coordinate and organize nursing  student  volunteers  across  the  country  in universities  and  schools  of  nursing  for quintessential  contribution to  the  local  health  economy  of  the  communities  nearest them  and consequently  adding  positive  value  to  national  and  international health indices.
The  community  service  initiative  employs  a  highly inclusive  model  using information  communication  technology  to coordinate  and  organize  all  student volunteers  who  have  such  lofty aspirations  to  help  lift  individuals,  families  and communities  out of  the  quandary  of  health  ignorance  so  pervasive  in  our  society today.  It  is  designed  to  follow  the “innovation for  health” guideline but  also  giving  room  for  local  input  in  line  with
communal  needs  and specifications.
One  of  the  corner  stone philosophy  of  this  model  is  the  establishment of  purposeful  and focused  partnership  with  all  relevant  stakeholders  and  progressive organizations  whose  objectives  and  vision  are  in  tandem  with  this initiative  for technical,  resource  and  financial  support.
In view of above stated we therefore need volunteers from various schools to participate in the upcoming training Which will be in partnership with NELAH Which is a non governmental Organisation with a wealth of experience in community based service. The training will be a train the trainer program where each participants after the training will be required to train other student volunteers in there geographical location as participants are expected from all geopolitical zones.
An important selection criteria will be the ability of volunteers to pass on requisite knowledge to others.
The training is scheduled to hold on:
. Date: 6th and 7th of November 2015
. Venue: NELAH conference room Gbagi Ibadan.
. Time; 9am prompt
Due to the limited slots available, it will be strictly on a first Come first serve basis.
